Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information AscenderTek collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable.

Who we are
AscenderTek is a software studio based in San Mateo, Rizal, Philippines. For any question about this policy or your personal data, contact [email protected].
We handle personal information in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us. Specifically, when you submit the contact form or request a website audit:
- Your name and email address — required, so we can reply
- Your company name and phone number — optional
- What you need, and an optional budget range
- Whatever you write in the project or audit message, and the website address you ask us to review
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, sensitive personal information through this website — government identifiers, financial account details, health information, or passwords. If a project requires that kind of data, it is handled under a separate agreement, not through a web form.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiry and, if we work together, to carry out that work. That is the whole purpose.
We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not run follow-up sequences, and we do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.
Who else touches your data
Running a website means other companies are involved. Those relevant here:
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and processes the contact form request. Cloudflare logs connection data such as IP address for security and abuse prevention.
- Resend — delivers form submissions to our inbox as email.
- Hostinger — provides our email service, where enquiries are received and stored.
Each of these processes data on our instructions for the purposes above. We do not share your information with anyone else unless we are legally required to.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no advertising cookies and does no cross-site tracking.
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are read and how the site performs. Where analytics are in use, they are configured to avoid collecting more than is needed, and never to build a profile of you across other websites.
If you have disabled JavaScript, this site still works in full. Nothing on it depends on tracking you.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as there is a reasonable business purpose — typically while a conversation is active and for a period afterwards in case you come back to it. Project records are kept for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable period after, for legal and accounting reasons.
You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time and we will, unless we are legally required to retain it.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to access your personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to object to processing, to have your data erased or blocked, to data portability, and to damages for violations.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable period. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are validated and processed server-side, and credentials for our email delivery are held as encrypted secrets, never in our source code.
No system is perfectly secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something. What we can say is that the same standard we apply to client systems is applied here.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about any of this are welcome — see the contact page.
